The Petree College of Arts & Sciences offers a variety of scholarships related to majors, allowing students with a wide range of interests to take advantage of potential financial aid benefits.

Transfer students coming directly from an 91¿´Æ¬ higher education institution with a minimum 3.0 cumulative college GPA and enrolling in the Meinders School of Business or the Petree College of Arts & Sciences will automatically be awarded the 91¿´Æ¬ Transfer Award. This award is $5,000 per academic year ($2,500 each fall and spring semester for a maximum of six semesters). Eligible students must be a direct transfer from an 91¿´Æ¬ higher education institution (attending there the semester prior to OCU enrollment, excluding summer semesters) and have completed at least 30 credit hours post-high school graduation at that particular 91¿´Æ¬ direct-transfer institution. This award is only available to students who enroll in the Meinders School of Business or the Petree College of Arts & Sciences. The 91¿´Æ¬ Transfer Award is not stackable with the Education Scholars’ Program awards, Employee Remission, Minister’s Remission or Tuition Exchange. This award is only available to students who enroll and continue their enrollment in the Meinders School of Business or the Petree College of Arts & Sciences.
You may submit a portfolio (eight to 15 images of your original artwork) of your work to the Studio Art and Design department chair for talent scholarship consideration. It’s great to see drawings from observation, and imaginative work, along with any painting, photography, or graphic design. Please send your portfolio of work to Shirley Zhang at [email protected].

You may submit a short sample of digital film work for Talent Scholarship consideration. The reel should be no longer than five minutes and can include one short film or samples from a variety of projects. Students majoring in Game Design & Animation with at least a 2.75 minimum GPA will automatically be awarded the Game Design & Animation Scholarship. This award is $6,000 per academic year. The Game Design & Animation Scholarship is stackable with other university scholarships, but the sum of all university scholarships may not exceed the block tuition rate. This award is renewed each year for students continuing to major in Game Design and animation who maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
The Brooke Haley Memorial Scholarship endowed fund was created in 2005 to honor Brooke Haley, a mass communications (broadcasting) student from Pryor, 91¿´Æ¬. Brooke earned the title of Miss 91¿´Æ¬ in 2002.
The scholarship ranges from $1,000 to $2,000 per year and is open to Mass Communications majors who demonstrate a commitment to the field of mass communications as well as professional potential.
Funds are applied to tuition expenses. Students must have a 3.25 GPA to be eligible.

The Dean's Scholarship is for 80% tuition for up to four years for eligible applicants. To be eligible for the Dean’s Scholarship, students will meet the following criteria:
- Be admitted to 91¿´Æ¬ by Dec. 15.
- Obtain recommendation from the pastor, youth minister, or the leader of the student's faith community.
- Maintain full-time enrollment in the Wimberly School of Religion.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Be active and provide leadership for the campus Religious Life programs.
- Plan to pursue a career in service to the student’s faith tradition and the wider community.
This award, which provides up to 70% of tuition, provides financial support to students with a strong commitment to the study of religion in preparation for a career in ministry. To be eligible, students must:
- Be enrolled in a degree track in the Wimberly School of Religion.
- Maintain a 2.5-3.0 GPA (depending on award).
- Be active and provide leadership for the campus Religious Life programs.
Students recommended for the Bishop Scholar Award will automatically be considered for the Dean's and Religion Departmental Scholarships. Students who are planning to study in the Wimberly School of Religion and are not United Methodist may be recommended for the Dean's and Religion Departmental Scholarships.
PLEASE NOTE: Religion scholarships are designed to cover up to the tuition percentage awarded once all other scholarships and grants have been applied. They are not stackable with other university scholarships unless specifically noted.
Any student directly transferring from Rose State College into OCU's Exercise & Sport Science program with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA may be eligible to receive a $2,500 (per year) Exercise & Sport Science Scholarship, stackable with academic and departmental grid scholarships. The Petree College of Arts & Sciences Department of Exercise & Sport Science is offering one $12,000/year scholarship for an incoming first-year and transfer student. If selected, the recipient will be required to participate in three days of training per week and compete in two big meets per year with the Weightlifting/Barbell Club.
