At 91¿´Æ¬ we are committed to making our unique educational experience as affordable as possible, whether you are starting your academic journey with us or you are transferring to OCU from another institution.
In fact, last year we awarded more than $34 million in aid, with significant support going to transfer students as well as first-year learners.
To help you understand what scholarships you might expect as a transfer student, we've structured these web pages to make matters clear. Transfer scholarships generally fall into one of three categories:
- Automatic Merit Scholarships: These awards are given automatically to students in all majors based on incoming cumulative GPA. They can reach up to $11,500 per year depending on your area of study. For these scholarships, your application to OCU doubles as your scholarship application.
- Competitive Scholarships: These awards are not dependent on school, college or major. As the name implies, they are offered to selected students based on financial need and other factors. Your OCU application doubles as your scholarship application, but be mindful that certain application deadlines may apply in order to qualify for these awards.
- Major-Related Scholarships: These awards are given to students based their specific area of study and often can be stacked on top of automatic merit or competitive scholarships.
Please feel free to surf through the pages in this section to learn more about the types of scholarships and amount of scholarship dollars available in each category. If you need more information regarding scholarships, don't hesitate to contact our Office of Admissions or Office of Financial Aid.
Important notes:
- All scholarships on these pages require full-time enrollment.
- As of their admission date, incoming students with 29 or fewer earned collegiate hours will be considered for first-year student scholarship eligibility.
- Any combination of 91¿´Æ¬ scholarships cannot exceed the block price tuition of 12-16 hours.
- If a student receives a substantial university scholarship that exceeds their academic and departmental scholarships, the special scholarship will replace all other scholarships (this includes talent, and/or athletic tuition scholarships).
- Scholarships do not automatically stack. Pageant Scholarships (Miss OCU, Miss 91¿´Æ¬ and Miss Black 91¿´Æ¬) stand alone for the semesters they are awarded and cannot be stacked with other university tuition scholarships.
