Stars Week 2026: Aug. 16-23
Stars Week is a dynamic week of programs and activities designed to introduce new students to the OCU experience. All new undergraduate students participate in a combination of mandatory and optional events that foster meaningful connections within the campus community, both inside and outside the classroom. Through engaging sessions, campus traditions, and opportunities to build relationships, Stars Week helps students begin their journey at OCU feeling confident, connected, and prepared for success.

The complete schedule for Stars Week 2026 will be released this summer.
Stars Week is full of opportunities to acquaint you with campus life and people who will help you make the successful transition to college life.

Make the Most of your Stars Week Experience!
This is the one week of your university experience that is all about YOU! Make the most of this experience to prepare yourself for the next four years of your college career. How to do this?
You will be spending the whole week in a new place, with new people, trying new things. This is your time to experience all that college has to offer and we will do our best to make it as welcoming and friendly as possible. Don't hesitate to try something new and to have FUN!
If you have a question, ask it! Odds are someone else in the room wants to know too. We are here to help inform you and do our best to give you a crash course on everything you need to know, but that is a lot to learn in just a few days. The more questions you ask, the more you will understand.
This is possibly the most important piece of Stars Week. Meet your classmates! Get to know your Resident Assistants, Orientation Leaders, staff, and faculty members around campus. We want OCU to feel like home to you! Finding your support system here will help you thrive in your first year of college.
As we prepare to welcome our newest Stars to campus, we are excited to share an update designed to make the transition to OCU as smooth, supported, and connected as possible.
For Fall 2026, all new, first-year students living in university housing will be enrolled in a Stars Week Meal Plan. This $175 plan ensures that the campus dining hall is open and fully available to students during all of Stars Week, before academic year meal plans officially begin.
This means that from the moment our new students arrive, they can:
• Enjoy immediate, convenient access to meals without needing to plan ahead
• Focus on getting settled, attending programs, and meeting new people
• Gather with peers in a central, welcoming space designed for connection and community
Rather than navigating meals during a busy and exciting transition period, students can rely on the dining hall as a consistent and accessible resource. It is one more way we aim to reduce stress, create ease, and allow students to fully engage in the Stars Week experience.
Stars Week is a foundational time for building friendships and finding a sense of belonging. Shared meals often become some of the first and most meaningful moments of connection, and we want to ensure every residential student has full access to that experience.
Additional details and reminders will be shared throughout the summer, including during Stars 101 sessions for both students and families.
