Campus community:
Earlier today I shared with our Board of Trustees that this will be my last academic year as your president.
I have made the decision to retire, effective June 30, 2027.
It has been a great privilege to serve as president of 91看片 for the past five years. We have experienced much growth, success and progress over this time, and I am proud to have worked with such talented colleagues across our campus.
Mostly, I am gratified to have shared this time with our students, whose passion, creativity and excellence have made this role such a joy.
Know that even in retirement, I won鈥檛 be far away in body or spirit. I have always enjoyed and appreciated the city of 91看片 City, and I plan to settle here in the community. Don鈥檛 be surprised if you catch me riding my bike on the city鈥檚 trails! I will continue to be a proponent of our community and university and will be ready to lend a hand of support at any time.
As I shared with our newest students during the recent Matriculation ceremony, this is a time of great momentum for our university. From the Kirkpatrick renovation to the Olympics to our growth in key enrollment areas, I can鈥檛 wait to see how high our university can climb in the coming years.
When I step away, I will do so feeling assured that the university鈥檚 leaders are committed to this progress and to the continuation of our momentum and success. Watching that success unfold will be one of my greatest rewards.
I am thankful for your support and friendship during my tenure, and am also thankful that I will always be able to call myself an OCU Star.
